Chapter 27: Etsy Finds

I personally love unique and vintage fashion/jewels/bags, and I think they are great additions to my closet. I own two vintage Gucci doctor's bags that my lovely and fabulous grandmother gave to me when I was 18. Sadly in October, my fashionista granny passed, so those bags have an extra level of sentimental value. I will always remember her sophistication and fashion when I use my bags.

Recently, I have been finding wonderful items on Etsy that are truly unique and beautiful, one of which I love is persephonevintage. Remember, vintage is not only unique, but also green, and on top of that, you are also supporting the small businesses out there :)

Chapter 25: Splurge vs. Steal: Norma Kamali

I just bought the Norma Kamali (for Walmart) sleeping bag coat for $35!!!! Got it in the mail this past Tuesday and I absolutely adore it. I mean yes, the $600 version is GORGEOUS and insanely fabulous, but for $35...I decided, what the hell. Besides, it's ridiculously warm. This is probably one of the best purchases I've made this year. Quick, get yours here. By the way, they fit true to size. Now, go go go!

Chapter 24: Model Spotlight Emina Cunmulaj

Ahhh, how I adore Emina. Personally, I think she's one of the most sophisticated models on the runway. I know how everyone loves the babydoll/innocent look right now, but I mean when you look at Emina, she just exudes such sexual and mysterious vibes. She's incredible.

The edgy, young, and modern chic collection of Jen Kao's Spring 2010 line is just incredible. Every piece is meticulously executed and well combined with a balance of edge and femininity. The muted and soft color palette just draws your eyes to it's intricate draping and form. I'm Jen Kao's new number 1 fan!!!!

Chapter 20: Splurge vs. Steal

I have owned this wonderfully easy and chic navy striped dress from American Apparel since the beginning of summer. I just absolutely adore how soft it is against my body, and how effortless it is when paired with a pair of gold sandals. So, when I saw a similar (well, practically identical frock) by Maje Pagny) on Net-a-Porter I was shocked by it's price...$180, (by all means, $180 is not that much for a lovely dress), but why pay that when you can get it for $41 at American Apparel! Decide for yourself.

Chapter 19: The Golden Era

I am an absolute sucker for classic movies, Cary Grant is my all time favorite leading man. And of course, who could forget Lauren Bacall, Vivian Leigh, and Rita Hayworth, just to name a few of the most talented and glamorous leading ladies of that Golden Era. Therefore, I am beyond ecstatic that Fall 2009 is all about the the sultry 40's conservatism chic. Of course, the va va voom beauty is back too. Dolce & Gabbana sent the ladies down the runway with perfectly liquid-lined eyes, along with vixen red lips. I am so happy glamor is back!

Chapter 18: Style Dello Russo

Oh ANNA DeLLO RUSSO!!! How my heart fawns over your style.

Words cannot describe how much I admire Anna's innate sense of fashion. She's fearless, confident, and most of all, she stands her the very edgy of fashion. She can take any runway or couture piece to a level of equilibrium between wearability and functionality, yet does not cross the invisible line of being over the top. Ladies and gents, this is as good as fashion gets. Ms. Dello Russo is just a glamorous style vixen. And damn, does this women have a killer body or what!
