Chapter 14: Simply Giovanna

How can one person, one human being, be so fabulous...24/7??!! Well, Giovanna Battaglia is just that "one". Her style always speaks to me....mixing patterns and texture where others will never be able to pull off. She dresses to her taste, not necessarily to what's in fashion.

Always non-conforming, unique, and ultra-chic, Giovanna Battaglia's styles is a constant metamorphosis in and of itself. She is the epiphany of style-Italia (or rather style-Battaglia). If I could raid her closet, I'd do it in a New York second.

Giovanna: if you ever need to make room in the closet, I'll take whatever you got....call me!

Chapter 12: Fashion: Japan

I'm always in black and white, and sometimes electric blue when I feel a bit daring. :P That must be why I especially love eclectic style...since my personal style is a bit one note. To me, Japanese fashion is just one of the most diverse and sometimes bizarre styles out there. Stumbling upon various websites, I found zozo. I must say, it is absolutely great! Lovely photography, unique style, and so incredibly fun. I just adore it...here's a small preview...

Chapter 11: Model Sophisticate-Dovima

If I could choose an time to live in for a day, it would definitely be the mid-late 50's. A time of true elegance and class. Think Audrey Hepburn, Grace Kelly...and model of the time...Dovima. Ahh, such sophistication just does not exist anymore. Ms. Dorothy Virginia Margaret, you sure are fantastic.

Chapter 9: Backstage Report

I personally find the backstage shots of fashion shows most mesmerizing, more so than the show itself. I feel that the photographer really captures the essence of fashion, unplugged, sorta speak. Plus, something about the models just being in their own element (more or less) really makes the clothing that much more exciting and relate-able. Below are from the 3.1 Phillip Lim Spring 2009 Show (one of my favorite shows of the season).
